FALSE LOVE
"Needs pave way for love in today's world"
This definition of love is true, indeed. Today, the definition of relationships changes the moment our interests change. Even love for the God Almighty has no particular definition. Our love with the God is totally due to self-interest. We love God so that we could attain things which won't be possible otherwise. Our love with God is sheer selfishness. Unfortunately, this is the true face of love in the present era.
Let us have a brief look at the forms of love we adopt...(unknowingly)...
During infancy, we love our mother because she fulfils our each and every need, she cleans us, she makes our food but as we go past that age, she doesn't seem to matter much. Next, we enter a new phase of life. Now our needs are not the same any longer. Now, we want to spend time with our friends at the school. Now, the fellows who lend us their Barbie dolls or Hot Wheels become of paramount importance. We do not hesitate in going against our parents' advice in order to be with these peeps. Hereafter comes the teenage. We undergo a complete change, emotionally and physically; not to mention our feelings and perspective of the world change too.
The point worth noticing here is that at every point of life we feel that the new ones are much better than the previous ones.
We have to go to a job after that spell of life. During this period, our colleagues, fellow workers, bosses are immensely valued. Meanwhile, we go through the marriage phase too. We, now, don't
find anyone more lovable than our spouse. After that, our love mostly concerns our children. For some, there might be a point when we love our business earnings to fulfil the needs of our family. And this infinite loop of love does not come to a halt until death.
We might deduce that the feeling of love is nothing like anything else in this world but the fact that it changes with time does ring a bell. It is never stable. It is never permanent.
Are we absolutely sure that our love with any worldly object/being is actually love in the true sense of the word?
Maybe...
